Job summary

Qualifications

• State Electrical Licensed is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PV installation, solar service, or related technical field.
• Ability to read three-line diagrams, construction plan sets, and equipment specs.
• Familiarity with NEC requirements preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills by phone, email, and in person.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform corrective maintenance on residential solar electric systems.
• Install, maintain, and repair solar inverter communication systems (cellular cards, LAN, wiring).
• Prioritize urgent service calls and manage daily service appointments.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, team members, and service partners.
• Document completed service work with photos, notes, and system updates.
• Coordinate warranty claims, repairs, and equipment replacements with inverter manufacturers.
• Follow safety procedures when working with electrical systems and on rooftops.
• Research technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Keep customers informed on status of solar system issues.
