Trinity Solar is seeking a Solar Service Technician to join our field team in New York. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain residential solar systems, install inverter communication hardware, and coordinate with manufacturers for warranty-related repairs.

The role requires strong electrical troubleshooting, the ability to read diagrams, NEC familiarity, and the capacity to work safely on rooftops while communicating clearly with homeowners and teammates.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in PV installation, solar service, or technical field.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Ability to read 3-line diagrams, plan sets, and specs.
• Familiarity with NEC codes preferred.
• Excellent communication via phone, email, and in-person.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Capable of safe rooftop work and lifting 40+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform corrective maintenance on residential solar electric systems.
• Install, maintain, and repair communication systems for solar inverters (cell cards, hard lines, LAN).
• Adapt quickly to last-minute schedule changes for urgent service calls.
