Job summary

Delta-T Group connects professionals with client opportunities in education, special education, social services, and behavioral health. A client seeks a Licensed Social Worker to support K-12 students in the Washington, DC area.

The role focuses on preventive work, collaboration with school staff, families, and the SST, and delivering direct services including counseling and crisis intervention to help students achieve academic and social goals.

Qualifications

• Preventive work with students, staff, and families.
• Providing consultation to school staff and parents to facilitate student educational, social, and emotional growth.
• Obtaining information concerning environmental effects on student progress.
• Conducting home visits to encourage home/school communication.
• Collaborating with the Student Support Team (SST) to develop plans for at-risk students.
• Coordinating school and community services.
• Serving as the home-school-community liaison for resource utilization and stakeholder relations.
