Job summary

Delta-T Group is seeking a Licensed Social Worker to support K-12 students in the Washington, DC area. You will work with students with disabilities to help achieve academic, behavioral, social, and developmental goals.

This role involves preventive work, consultation with staff and families, home visits, and collaboration with the Student Support Team to develop plans. You will coordinate services and advocate for students across school and community resources.

Qualifications

• Preventive and supportive services for students, staff, and families.
• Ability to consult with school staff and parents to support student growth.
• Experience assessing environmental factors affecting student progress.
• Conducting home visits to strengthen home/school communication.
• Collaborative work with SST to develop plans for students at risk.
• Coordinate school and community services.
• Serving as liaison with home, school and community stakeholders.
• Advocating for students and communicating with related agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students.
• Deliver psycho-education and crisis intervention.
• Provide parent training and guidance.
• Participate in MDT, IEPs, and related meetings.
• Assist in designing and implementing behavior plans.
• Maintain thorough records and progress reports.
• Coordinate referrals to community resources.
