Role Description

The Licensed Social Worker at Bluestone Children’s Center will provide direct support to children and their families in an on-site, collaborative setting in Livonia, MI. This full-time role includes conducting psychosocial assessments, developing care and support plans, and coordinating services with other professionals. The social worker will offer caregiver coaching, provide individual and family support, facilitate access to community resources, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings. Additional responsibilities include documentation of services, maintaining accurate records, collaborating on treatment goals, and contributing to a positive, inclusive environment that reflects Bluestone’s whole-family approach.

Qualifications

• Relevant clinical skills in psychosocial assessment, care planning, and family support.
• Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities or mental health disorders
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for working with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to maintain thorough documentation, manage caseloads, and follow ethical and regulatory standards.
• Current state licensure as a Social Worker (LMSW or equivalent, as required in Michigan).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Commitment to evidence-based, family-centered care and culturally responsive practice.
• Experience in school, clinic, or community mental health environments is preferred.
