Job summary

VanDerBosch Plumbing Inc. in Chicago is seeking experienced plumbers to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial systems.

You will service traditional and tankless water heaters, fixtures, valves, and filtration lines, while maintaining boiler systems and addressing sewer blocks. The role requires an IL license or Chicago Journeyman, strong diagnostic skills, a clean driving record, and a commitment to honest, upfront pricing.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current State of Illinois Plumbing License and/or City of Chicago Journeyman Plumber License.
• Proven experience in residential or light commercial service plumbing.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional customer service and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial plumbing systems.
• Service and install traditional/tankless water heaters, fixtures, valves, and water filtration lines.
• Maintain, rebuild, and scale boilers as needed.
• Resolve sewer and drain blockages using advanced equipment.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial plumbing systems.
• Service and install traditional/tankless water heaters, fixtures, valves, and water filtration lines.
• Maintain, rebuild, and scale vintage or modern hot water steam boilers.
• Resolve sewer and drain blockages utilizing advanced equipment (cable machines, hydro jetting, and sewer video camera inspections).
• Provide clear, transparent, and friendly communication to homeowners and building managers before starting any work.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements):

• Must hold a current State of Illinois Plumbing License and/or City of Chicago Journeyman Plumber License.
• Proven experience in residential or light commercial service plumbing (familiarity with older Chicago infrastructure is a massive plus!).
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills—someone who leaves the workspace spotless and handles clients with respect.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
