Job summary

A leading insurance company in Portland is seeking motivated individuals for a sales role that involves prospecting leads, generating sales, and servicing existing customers. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of sales experience and excellent interpersonal skills. Being bilingual in English and Spanish is encouraged. This position requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a team environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of successful sales experience in various sales roles.
• Licensed in Property & Casualty required if hired.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to learn computer functions and work in a team.
• Ability to multi-task and work irregular hours when needed.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prospect leads

• Assist in targeting new customers
• Build business referral relationships

Secondary Responsibilities

• answer incoming phone calls
• process policy changes
• assist with processing new applications
• Other administrative duties as assigned by the Agency Owner.

Qualifications

Requirements

• 1+ years of successful sales experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) required
• Licensed in Property & Casualty not required to apply but WILL BE REQUIRED to attain if hired.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - written, verbal and listening
• Enthusiastic about the role insurance and financial products play in helping people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams
• Able to learn computer functions
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work irregular working hours when needed
