Job summary

Tesla is seeking a Residential Field Service Electrician to perform diagnostic, preventive and corrective maintenance on solar PV systems, battery storage and other energy products. A valid electrician license is required and work must meet NEC and NFPA 70E standards.

Residential solar experience is preferred but not required. You will travel as needed, respond to open cases, update logs, and coordinate with the Operations Engineering Systems Reliability team while ensuring safe work practices

Qualifications

• Valid electrician license in good standing.
• 1+ year electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting preferred.
• Residential solar PV experience preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in NEC codes and NFPA 70E practices.
• Ability to work at heights and travel up to 2 weeks.
• Strong customer service and independent decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed electrical work for residential energy service in NEC compliance.
• Respond to corrective maintenance on solar PV and energy storage systems; update case logs.
• Report writing to comply with O&M contracts.
• Coordinate with Operations Engineering Systems Reliability team; provide data as requested.
• Prioritize conflicting work requests and escalations; travel up to 2 weeks as needed.
