Job summary

Redwood Materials is seeking a seasoned Field Service Electrician to support solar and battery storage projects. This hands-on role involves diagnosing and repairing electrical systems in the field, coordinating site work with operations teams, and traveling to Reno-area sites and beyond.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of electrical experience, a valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license, and NABCEP/OSHA 10/30/NFPA 70E certifications. A safety-minded, independent worker is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of electrical troubleshooting and repair experience in solar or battery storage.
• Valid electrician license (Journeyman or Master) and relevant certifications (NABCEP, OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E).
• Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of solar and storage systems; safety-focused and detail-oriented.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems for solar and battery energy storage (BESS).
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and respond to field service work requests for panels, inverters, batteries, and related systems.
• Install, test, and commission electrical equipment for solar and battery projects.
• Coordinate field-based work, including oversight of contractors and service providers.
• Develop and implement standard work instructions for field service activities.
• Work with operations and site teams to support safe execution and continuous improvement.
