Job summary

Carle Health is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, applying the plan of care and adjusting as needed. The role emphasizes education for patients, families, and staff, with documentation aligned to policy and communication with the evaluating therapist.

Potential sign-on bonuses exist ($1,500 for new grads; $2,500 for 1+ years experience) and relocation assistance may be available for moves over 50 miles.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent required.
• PTA license in Illinois or eligibility to obtain license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Board eligibility and completion of board exam as required.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Follows and adjusts plan of care with communication from evaluat­ing therapist.
• Complete daily notes and CMS documentation per policy.
• Provide therapy interventions: exercise, gait and balance, ultrasound.
• Administer electrical stimulation and aquatic therapy as prescribed.
• Coordinate with PT and referent provider on patient progress.
