Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, adjusting care under PT guidance. The role offers sign-on bonuses for new grads or experienced candidates and relocation assistance for moves over 50 miles.

Responsibilities include educating patients and families, following and updating the plan of care, and documenting in the EMR. The PTA will provide aquatic therapy, electrotherapy, and manual therapy as part of a comprehensive rehab

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a relevant field.
• Field of Study: Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) per IDFPR requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, and healthcare staff using effective teaching methods.
• Follows and adjusts the plan of care after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation per policy and completes required annual education for HIP-Knee replacement program.
• Follows treatment plan of care established by PT and administers treatments such as therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound.
• Administers electrical stimulation and aquatic therapy as prescribed.
• Completes daily documentation in therapy EMR and coordinates with PT on patient progress.
• Communicates progress and recommendations to referring providers.
