Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support licensed therapists in implementing treatment plans for residents in a care setting.

The PTA will perform treatments, guide patients and families, and assist in coordinating group activities with the rehab team, under supervision. This position offers full-time or part-time options and benefits including insurance and PTO.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Licensed as required by the State.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident’s individualized treatment plan as defined by the primary Physical Therapist.
• Provides individualized physical therapy treatments including modalities and exercises.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups in consult with the physical therapist.
• Instructs residents, families and caregivers in PT techniques under supervision.
• Collaborates with rehabilitation team to develop resident-specific programs.
• Maintains timely resident documentation for all treated residents.
• Attends care and staffing meetings as a PT representative.
• Cleans, maintains, and reports equipment repairs as needed.
• Delivers high quality care in a compassionate atmosphere respecting residents’ needs.
