Job summary

BHC Alhambra Hospital, a 115-bed acute psychiatric facility in Rosemead, CA, seeks a Licensed Psychiatric Technician. The role provides nursing care under RN supervision for children, adolescents, and adults with psychiatric conditions.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited LVN/psychiatric technician program and state licensure; 1+ year LVN psychiatric experience preferred, including work with child/adolescent development. NOC shift available with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing or vocational training as a psychiatric technician.
• Licensed to practice vocational nursing in the State Board.
• Minimum one year LVN in psychiatric nursing preferred, with six months in Child and Adolescent Development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect data needed for the integrated assessment.
• Take and record vital signs properly.
• Observe for and document changes in patient’s appearance, behavior and progress toward treatment plan goals.
• Communicate changes in patient’s condition to the Charge Nurse.
• Report signs and symptoms of infection in resident to the Charge Nurse

Job Description: The LPT performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders.

Key Responsibilities include:

Qualifications

Requirements:
