Job summary

Hickory Trail Hospital in DeSoto, Texas is seeking a Licensed Program Therapist to support patients with biopsychosocial needs and therapeutic skills for emotional health. You will participate in crisis intervention, family therapy, and care coordination within our 86-bed behavioral health hospital.

A Master's in Social Work or related field is required, with state licensure (LMSW/LCSW/LPC/RN/LFMT). CPR and CPI/HWC training are required before start; a competency exam may be administered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field from an accredited college or university.
• Licensure: state certified in social work or clinical related mental health field (LMSW/LCSW/LPC/RN/LFMT).
• Experience: 1 year in a psychiatric/behavioral health hospital setting preferred.
• Additional: CPR and CPI or HWC training required; must pass competency exam; may require flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide social services to assist patients in meeting biopsychosocial needs and treatment skills.
• Deliver crisis intervention, short/long-term family therapy, and information/references as needed.
• Collaborate with care teams to support patient progress and safety.
