Job summary

Hickory Trail Hospital in DeSoto, Texas is seeking an Outpatient Mental Health Technician to support adolescents and adults in our outpatient programs. You will help maintain a safe, structured and therapeutic environment, assist with patient transportation supervision, and support daily operations of the outpatient department.

The role requires a High School Degree with CNA preferred, plus about two years of related psychiatric care experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent; CNA preferred; degree in social work or related therapeutic field desirable.
• Experience: Two years of psychiatric patient care experience preferred.
• Licensure: CNA certification preferred.
• Additional: Weekend/overtime and flexible hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient support and supervision in outpatient programs.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for adolescents and adults.
• Assist with patient transportation supervision and daily program operations.
• Prepare treatment areas and manage supplies and snack inventory.
• Support organization and daily operations of the outpatient department.
