Hickory Trail Hospital in DeSoto, TX is seeking Licensed Counselors for our Admissions/Intake Department. The Intake Counselor interviews and assesses potential patients and inquiry callers, coordinates with the Business Office on financial data, and works with the UR department to certify admissions.

We value compassion, collaborative care, and strong communication; you must hold a Master’s in Social Work or related field and state licensure (LPC/LMSW/LCSW, RN, LFMT) with CPR and de-escalation

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or related mental health field required.
• 2-3 years in substance abuse/psychiatric treatment programs; intake/admissions experience preferred.
• State certification in social work or clinical mental health; LPC, LMSW, or LCSW, RN, LFMT license required.
• CPR certification, CPI and Verbal De-Escalation training within 30 days; competency exam on hire; flexible hours may be required.

Responsabilités

• Interview and assess potential patients and inquiry callers for admissions.
• Coordinate with Business Office on patient financial data and with UR for admission certification.
• Initiate referral processes and communicate with referral sources.
