Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group, LLC is seeking a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Yelm, WA for the 26/27 school year. This is a full-time private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

Work includes direct student care, medication administration, and collaboration with school teams. Competitive pay, clinical backing, and dedicated RN support accompany this assignment.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Washington
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification
• Demonstrated competency in pediatric skills including tube feedings, diabetic care and medication administration
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills; ability to work independently
• Ability to safely implement physician orders and care plans within LPN scope of practice
• School-based experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous observation of the assigned student throughout the school day
• Support chronic condition management and assist with medical procedures as outlined in care plans
• Provide first aid and medication administration
• Document care and communicate with school teams
• Accompany student during transportation and community-based activities when assigned
• Report significant status changes to supervising RN and family

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active LPN License in Washington

  • Pediatric diabetic care
  • Medication administration
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently
