Position Title: Licensed Practical Nurse, Wound Care
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LPN also delegates tasks to assistive personnel as appropriate. The role requires knowledge of department and hospital policies related to nursing care, along with strong interpretive, communication, and supervisory skills. Effective communication can be in written, auditory, or visual forms, with spoken words being primary. The position also demands manual dexterity and proficiency in written and telephone communication.
Certificate in nursing is required.
Preferred: One year of healthcare/medical nursing or patient care experience.
Licensed as an LPN by the Virginia Department of Health Professions is required.
BLS certification is also required.
