Job summary

Qualifications

• Current State of LVN/LPN with a minimum of 2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible during the shift for the total nursing care of residents.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
• Transcribes physician's orders.
• Observes resident, records significant conditions and notifies supervisor or physician as needed.
• Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal.
• Responds to emergency situations based on nursing standards and protocols.
• Participates in department quality improvement activities.
• Assists in completion of care plans and participates in care conferences.
