Job summary

Majestic Care of Lakin is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dedicated care team and provide skilled nursing services on an assigned unit under the direction of the nursing management. The LPN will supervise CNAs and ensure high-quality care for residents based on established care plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• LPN license active, valid, and in good standing.
• CPR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document residents' condition and nursing needs.
• Implement physicians' orders accurately and promptly.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and document treatments per regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with tests and procedures within the state's Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments.

Position Overview:

Majestic Care LPNs render skilled technical nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing in support of medical care as directed by the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents in that unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an LPN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.
• Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred but not required.
