Job summary

Majestic Care of Cedar Village is seeking an LPN to join our team, providing skilled nursing care in a unit under the nursing management team. You will supervise CNAs and ensure high-quality resident care in alignment with state regulations.

The role emphasizes coordinating care, administering medications, and supporting physicians with procedures. Our facility focuses on compassion, empathy, and professional growth in Mason, OH.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an LPN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.
• CPR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document residents’ condition and nursing needs.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and document treatments.
• Supervise CNAs to ensure a high quality of care.
• Assist physicians with tests and procedures within state rules.
• Coordinate nursing care during therapy or procedures with other departments.
• Respond to emergencies and institute appropriate measures.

Position Overview:

Majestic Care LPNs render skilled technical nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing in support of medical care as directed by the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents in that unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an LPN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.
• Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred but not required.
