Job summary

Majestic Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Bloomington to join our caregiving team dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate nursing care. The LPN will supervise CNAs, implement physician orders, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to support residents across the unit.

The role requires a valid LPN license in Indiana, active and in good standing, with the ability to lead care planning conferences and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed LPN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.
• Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document residents’ condition and nursing needs.
• Implement physicians’ orders accurately and promptly.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and document treatments.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with tests and procedures within the scope of state Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care with therapy schedules and assist with emergency measures when needed.

Position Overview

Majestic Care LPNs render skilled technical nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing in support of medical care as directed by the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents in that unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.
