Job summary

Majestic Care of Cedar Village is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team on the unit. You will provide skilled nursing services and support the nursing management team while supervising CNAs to ensure high-quality resident care.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active LPN license in good standing. You will work under state regulations, administer medications, participate in care planning, and contribute to orientation and ongoing

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Licensed LPN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.
• CPR certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.

Education

Position Overview:

Majestic Care LPNs render skilled technical nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing in support of medical care as directed by the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents in that unit.
