Job summary

Majestic Care is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support residents on an assigned unit. You will supervise CNAs, implement physicians' orders, administer medications, and document care in compliance with state and facility rules.

Qualified candidates are graduates of an accredited nursing program with an active LPN license in Ohio. CPR certification is preferred but not required. Majestic Care offers progressive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document residents' condition and nursing needs.
• Implement physicians' orders accurately and promptly.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and document treatments as required.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for staff.
• Assist physicians with tests and procedures within state nursing act scope.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care with therapy or procedures from other departments.
• In institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments.

Job description

Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN

Majestic Care LPNs render skilled technical nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing in support of medical care as directed by the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents in that unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an LPN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.
• Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred but not required.
