Job Summary

Location: Methodist Physicians Clinic - Fremont Family & Internal Medicine

Address: 680 Medical Park Drive, Fremont, NE

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, full-time, hours between 8AM - 5PM, 4 days/week

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

• Assist physicians by reviewing records, preparing patients/exam rooms, and handling prescription renewals/inquiries.
• Document lab, procedures, and appointments; follow up on missed appointments.
• Support Health Coaches with patient lists and scheduling.
• Provide patient and family education under provider guidance.
• Perform telephone triage and manage patient calls efficiently.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Handle prescription renewals and inquiries per protocol.
• Provide age-appropriate care to ensure patient comfort and understanding.

Floor

• Prepare exam rooms and equipment, assist with tests and procedures, and perform phlebotomy.
• Assist providers during patient treatment and documentation.

Phone

• Answer and return calls, provide test results, and process pharmacy refills accurately.

Job Requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Experience

• Previous LPN/medical experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience required for floor duties.

License/Certifications

• Current LPN license; BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to provide compassionate patient care and work effectively in a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force; physical activities include standing, walking, and occasional climbing or crawling.
