Job summary

The Alden Network seeks a qualified nurse manager to deliver direct nursing care and supervise day-to-day activities of nursing assistants. You will ensure high-quality care in accordance with applicable standards and facility policies, while leading a team and coordinating with physicians and families.

You will supervise staff, participate in care planning, and maintain accurate documentation. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must possess current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in IL/WI.
• Must possess CPR certificate or become certified within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• English language proficiency (read, write, speak) required.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to interact tactfully with customers, families, visitors, and staff.
• Leadership and supervisory ability; teamwork emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants daily.
• Plan, organize, and direct nursing care for the unit per policies.
• Ensure compliance with policies; enforce dress code and professional standards.
• Maintain complete documentation, including care plans and patient records.
• Attend care plan conferences and communicate with physicians and families.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff; report concerns to Administrator.
