Medical Assistants support clinical and administrative tasks in an ambulatory setting under supervision, including patient care, vital signs, laboratory tests, and clinical intake, serving all age groups with developmental awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection and patient care activities according to standards and policies.
• Organize and prioritize nursing and clinical support activities.
• Implement age-appropriate interventions and evaluate care effectiveness.

Minimum Requirements

For LPN

• Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
• Virginia licensure as an LPN and BLS certification.

• Certification from a recognized national organization within 6 months of hire; BLS certification required.

Physical Demands

Standing for prolonged periods, frequent travel, lifting 20-50 lbs, and exposure to chemicals and biological hazards.
