Job summary

UP Health System - Portage is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Urology Clinic wound care team in Michigan. This full-time, 80-hour-per-pay-period role offers Monday through Friday daytime shifts within an outpatient setting.

As a Clinic LPN, you will collect patient intake data, document records, support patients with holistic care, and assist with assessments and treatments under physician supervision while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment and advocating for

Qualifications

• State of Michigan LPN license is required.
• Graduate from an LPN or LVN program.
• Basic Life Support certification is required (available upon hire).
• Annual Influenza Vaccination or Declination Required.

Responsibilities

• Collects and documents patient intake data and maintains records.
• Provides patient support reflecting emotional, physical, social, cultural and economic influences.
• Assists with routine clinic support activities.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment per clinic policy.
• Assists with applying patient assessments and treatments under physician supervision.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

A Clinic LPN who excels in this role:

• Collects and documents patient intake data. Maintains accurate and complete patient records.

• Assists with routine clinic support activities.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Maintains appropriate, safe and therapeutic environment per clinic policy.

• Assists with performing patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a physician.

• Performs other job duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a state of Michigan LPN license and have graduated from an LPN or LVN Program. Additional requirements include:
