Job summary

UP Health System - Portage is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Wound Care/Urology clinic. This full-time role supports patient care in a busy outpatient setting and offers a predictable weekday schedule with day shifts.

Applicants should hold a Michigan LPN license and have completed an LPN/LVN program. BLS certification and annual influenza vaccination or declination are required. Experience in clinic support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collects and documents patient intake data and maintains records.

• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment per clinic policy.

Job Type: Full-Time | 1.0 FTE or 80 hours/pp. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour Day shifts, Clinic Hours.

How you'll contribute

A Clinic LPN who excels in this role:

• Collects and documents patient intake data. Maintains accurate and complete patient records.
• Provides patient support that reflects considerations for emotional, physical, social, cultural, religious and economic influences.
• Assists with routine clinic support activities.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Maintains appropriate, safe and therapeutic environment per clinic policy.
• Assists with performing patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a physician.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a state of Michigan LPN license and have graduated from an LPN or LVN Program. Additional requirements include:
