The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Herrin, IL for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time building support role providing a local K-12 district with nursing services.

You will join a team that supports school-based nursing with clinical backing and ongoing collaboration, ensuring consistent pay and access to a dedicated clinical support team.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Illinois.
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification.
• Pediatric nursing skills, medication administration, catheterization.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking.
• Ability to work independently.
• School-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist building nurses with screenings and documentation review.
• Provide first aid care and daily medication management.
• Rotate through classrooms or buildings to administer medications, tube feedings, diabetic care, and other student health needs.
• Serve as a private duty nurse for students with medical needs such as diabetes management, seizure management, or G-tube feedings.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active LPN license in Illinois
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification
• Required: Pediatric skillset, Medication administration, Catheterization
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently
• School-based experience preferred

WHAT YOU'LL DO
