Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Herrin, IL for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time building support role providing a local K-12 district with nursing services.

You will join a team that supports school-based nursing with clinical backing and ongoing collaboration, ensuring consistent pay and access to a dedicated clinical support team.

Qualifications

Active LPN license in Illinois.
Current BLS CPR/AED certification.
Pediatric nursing skills, medication administration, catheterization.
Strong assessment and critical thinking.
Ability to work independently.
School-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist building nurses with screenings and documentation review.
Provide first aid care and daily medication management.
Rotate through classrooms or buildings to administer medications, tube feedings, diabetic care, and other student health needs.
Serve as a private duty nurse for students with medical needs such as diabetes management, seizure management, or G-tube feedings.
