Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, full-time private duty/1:1 school-based placement in Olympia, WA. You will support a K-12 student with nursing services throughout the school day.

Active WA LPN license, completion of an approved nursing program, and CPR/BLS are required. You will work with a collaborative team and receive clinical backing from experienced nurses to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Active Washington State LPN license in good standing (per RCW 18.79).
• Graduation from an approved practical nursing program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to perform nursing tasks within the LPN scope defined by WAC 246 840 705.
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous observation of assigned student throughout the school day.
• Support chronic condition management and assist with medical procedures as outlined in care plans.
• Provide first aid and medication administration.
• Document care and communicate with school teams.
• Accompany student during transportation and community-based activities when assigned.
• Report significant status changes to supervising RN and family.

Job description

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Olympia, WA for the 26/27 school year! This is a full-time private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active Washington State LPN license in good standing (per RCW 18.79)
• Graduation from an approved practical nursing program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to perform nursing tasks within the LPN scope defined by WAC 246 840 705
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Experience in Washington healthcare settings (schools, clinics, LTC, home health, or hospitals) preferred
• Familiarity with WABON guidance, including the Scope of Practice Decision Tree, preferred
• Experience supporting diverse populations and trauma informed care practices preferred
