Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital in Oklahoma City is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our rehabilitation team. This full-time night shift role supports RNs with initial assessments, patient care, and rehabilitation interventions.

Qualificações

• Current LPN license in the state.
• Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Certification: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsabilidades

• Assist the RN with initial assessments and patient reassessments per policy.
• Identify and implement rehabilitation nursing interventions.
• Perform timely Quality Improvement (QI) assessments under RN supervision.
• Deliver care based on patient response and update the care plan as needed.

How you'll contribute

A Rehabilitation LPN who excels in this role:

• Assist the RN with initial assessments and patient reassessments per policy.
• Identify and implement appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
• Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments under RN supervision.
• Deliver care based on patient response to treatment and update the interdisciplinary plan accordingly.
• Assess and reassess pain; use appropriate pain management techniques and educate patients and families.
• Perform all patient care tasks in a manner that promotes patient safety and reduces medical errors.
• Develop and implement individualized teaching plans based on patient and family learning needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state or compact state LPN license. Additional requirements include:

• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS).

• Experience: Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred

• Licenses: Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program.
