Job summary

Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full‑time night shift position in Lancaster, PA. The successful candidate will work in a modern inpatient rehabilitation setting with strong leadership support.

Job description

Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full‑time night shift (3x12, 6:30p-7a) schedule in Lancaster, PA.

The LPN will work within a modern inpatient rehabilitation environment, supported by strong leadership and a collaborative interdisciplinary care model.

Essential Functions
  • Administer medications safely and accurately based on patient age and clinical condition.
  • Minimize potential for medication errors by following proper medication administration procedures.
  • Assist the RN with initial assessments and patient reassessments per policy.
  • Identify and implement appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
  • Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments under RN supervision.
  • Deliver care based on patient response to treatment and update the interdisciplinary plan accordingly.
  • Assess and reassess pain; use appropriate pain management techniques and educate patients and families.
  • Perform all patient care tasks in a manner that promotes patient safety and reduces medical errors.
  • Develop and implement individualized teaching plans based on patient and family learning needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical skills and commitment to safe, patient‑centered care.
  • Work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications
  • Current Pennsylvania LPN license and graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program.
  • CPR/BCLS certification required.
  • Minimum six months of medical/surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • IV certification highly preferred or must be obtained within six months.
