Job summary

Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their rehabilitation team. The position involves providing exceptional care with a focus on individual patient needs. You will work in a supportive environment to enhance community health.

Qualifications

  • Must have a current Pennsylvania or compact state RN license.
  • Six months of Medical/Surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications safely and accurately.
  • Assist the RN with initial assessments and patient reassessments.
  • Identify and implement appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
  • Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement assessments under RN supervision.
  • Assess and manage pain using appropriate techniques.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Rehabilitation (PRN)

You will work within a modern inpatient rehabilitation environment, supported by strong leadership and a collaborative interdisciplinary care model. Responsibilities
  • Administer medications safely, accurately, and based on patient age and clinical condition.
  • Minimize potential for medication errors by following proper medication administration procedures.
  • Assist the RN with initial assessments and patient reassessments per policy.
  • Identify and implement appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
  • Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments under RN supervision.
  • Deliver care based on patient response to treatment and update the interdisciplinary plan accordingly.
  • Assess and reassess pain; use appropriate pain management techniques and educate patients and families.
  • Perform all patient care tasks in a manner that promotes patient safety and reduces medical errors.
  • Develop and implement individualized teaching plans based on patient and family learning needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred; Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred.
  • Experience: Six months of Medical/Surgical experience preferred.
  • Licenses: Must have a current Pennsylvania or compact state RN license.
  • Education: Associate's degree required. BSN preferred.
