Job summary

Armor Health seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Cache County Jail team in Logan, Utah. This PRN day shift role runs 7am-3pm on weekdays and 7am until med pass is done on weekends, covering 2-3 days weekly with every other weekend for med pass.

You will provide holistic nursing care in a correctional setting, assist clinicians with examinations and tests, obtain histories and vital signs, and coordinate transfers while documenting all patient contacts in the POMR format.

Qualifications

• Current active LPN license in Utah.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Proficient with electronic medical records.
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assist health care providers and allied health professionals with examinations and procedures.
• Obtain patient history, vital signs, and administer TB skin tests.
• Conduct lab tests and ensure results reach the proper physician or nurse.
• Ensure patient care is appropriate for injuries or conditions and document changes.
• Coordinate transfers to medical facilities; administer medications; document contacts in POMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assist health care providers, registered nurses, and allied health professionals with examinations, treatments, special tests, and routine procedures.
• Obtain patient health history, laboratory specimens, vital signs and administers TB skin tests.
• Conduct lab tests and ensures the results are delivered to the correct physician or registered nurse.
• Ensure patient is receiving proper care for injury or condition.
• Review patient chart; records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient\'s conditions.
• Coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities or outside health care providers; administer medications; implement healthcare practitioners\' orders; and document all patient contacts using the POMR format.

Qualifications

• Current/Active state license as an LPN
• Current CPR certificate
• Proficient with electronic medical records
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include a background check and drug screen
