Job summary

Armor Health in Logan, Utah, is seeking an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Cache County Jail team on a part-time day shift (7am–3pm, weekdays; 7am until med pass on weekends). The role involves 2–3 days per week with every other weekend for med pass, delivering holistic nursing care in a correctional setting.

Responsibilities include assisting providers, taking vital signs, administering tests and TB skin tests, coordinating transfers, and documenting care in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Current/Active LPN license
• Current CPR certificate
• Proficient with electronic medical records
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assist health care providers, registered nurses, and allied health professionals with examinations, treatments, special tests, and routine procedures.
• Obtain patient health history, laboratory specimens, vital signs and administers TB skin tests.
• Conduct lab tests and ensures the results are delivered to the correct physician or registered nurse.
• Ensure patient is receiving proper care for injury or condition.
• Review patient chart; records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient's conditions.
• Coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities or outside health care providers; administer medications; implement healthcare practitioners' orders; and document all patient contacts using the POMR format.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include a background check and drug screen
