Armor Health in Cobb County Jail seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time role. You will deliver holistic care in a correctional setting and support health care providers with exams, treatments, tests, and routine procedures.

Qualifications

• Current/Active state LPN license.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance including background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assist health care providers and nurses with examinations, treatments, special tests, and routine procedures.
• Obtain patient health history, collect laboratory specimens, check vital signs and administer TB skin tests.
• Conduct lab tests and ensure results reach the physician or nurse.
• Coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities and document all patient contacts using the EMR.
• Administer medications and implement practitioners' orders.
• Review patient charts and report observed symptoms or changes in condition.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assist health care providers, registered nurses, and allied health professionals with examinations, treatments, special tests, and routine procedures.
• Obtain patient health history, laboratory specimens, vital signs and administers TB skin tests.
• Conduct lab tests and ensures the results are delivered to the correct physician or registered nurse.
• Ensure patient is receiving proper care for injury or condition.
• Review patient chart; records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient's conditions.
• Coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities or outside health care providers; administer medications; implement healthcare practitioners' orders; and document all patient contacts using the POMR format.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include a background check and drug screen
