Job summary

Athens Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN shifts in a long-term care and rehabilitation setting. You will provide skilled nursing care, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, CNAs, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality resident care.

Shifts are day or night with competitive PRN pay ranging from $27.05 to $32.70 per hour. Night differential is $3.00 and weekend day differential is $2.00.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach to care.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and physician-ordered interventions
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate findings appropriately
• Supervise and support LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff
• Collaborate with rehabilitation, therapy, dietary, and interdisciplinary teams to support resident recovery goals
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and state and federal regulations
• Educate residents and families regarding care plans and health needs
• Promote a safe environment while following infection prevention and safety protocols
