Responsibilities

• Provide feeding tube care and assist with pediatric equipment as required.
• Follow the established plan of care and physician orders.
• Communicate with the patient’s family regarding routine care needs and observations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide part-time care for a pediatric patient with special medical needs in Marietta, GA. This position is ideal for an LPN who enjoys one-on-one pediatric care and is comfortable supporting children with neurological or physical conditions, including Cerebral Palsy.

The LPN will work closely with the patient's family and healthcare team to provide safe, consistent, and compassionate care while supporting the child's comfort and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to a pediatric patient with special medical needs.

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within the LPN scope of practice.

• Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and changes in the patient's condition and report concerns appropriately.

• Assist with feeding, mobility, positioning, hygiene, and other activities of daily living.

• Provide feeding tube care and assist with other medical equipment as required.

• Follow the established plan of care and physician orders.

• Support and communicate with the patient's family regarding routine care needs and observations.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.

• Follow all applicable healthcare, safety, and infection-control standards.

• Communicate effectively with supervising nurses, physicians, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Georgia required.

• Current CPR/BLS certification required.

• Previous nursing experience preferred.

• Pediatric, private-duty, home health, or special-needs nursing experience is highly preferred.

• Comfortable caring for children with neurological or physical disabilities.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Dependable, patient, compassionate, and attentive to detail.

Preferred Experience

• Experience caring for children with Cerebral Palsy or similar neurological conditions.

• Experience with feeding tubes, feeding pumps, mobility equipment, and other pediatric medical equipment.

• Experience providing one-on-one or in-home pediatric nursing care.
