UP Health System - Bell, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Clinic LPN for an Occupational Medicine setting. The role includes providing plan-of-care interventions, wound care, and medication administration with emphasis on daily living activities and safety within a diverse care team.

Ideal candidates hold a Michigan LPN license, have completed an LPN/LVN program, and are prepared for BLS, IOSH/CAHOC, and UDS certs within designated timelines.

Qualifications

• Requires state of Michigan LPN license and graduation from an LPN/LVN program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) within 30 days of hire.
• IOSH and CAHOC certifications within 6 months of hire.
• BAT and UDS certifications within 6 months of hire.
• Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10/CPT codes and insurance benefits.

Responsabilités

• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication. Documents patient care given.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Schedules, appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.

How you'll contribute

A Clinic LPN who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication. Documents patient care given.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Schedules, appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Obtains insurance re-authorizations as requested for testing and scheduled procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a state of Michigan LPN license and have graduated from an LPN or LVN Program.
