Job summary

Mid Coast Senior Health Center, part of the MaineHealth system, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time 36-hour day shift in Brunswick, ME. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will provide supportive and restorative care, administer medications, and reinforce resident teaching.

Qualified candidates have an accredited LPN program graduate status, an active LPN license, and BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• Current state LPN license; BLS certification required or within 30 days of start.
• One year of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of a Registered Nurse, provide supportive and restorative care to residents.
• Reinforce resident and family teaching program and administer medications and treatments.
• Maintain policies, procedures and standards of nursing practice.

This is a Licensed Practical Nurse 2 vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of LPN work experience

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of RN experience and $20,000 for Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of RN work experience!

• • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Under direction of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse - Long Term Care role provides supportive and restorative care to residents, reinforces the resident and family teaching program, and administers medications and treatments according to policies, procedures, and standards of the nursing practice.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program required.
• License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Licensed Practical Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: One year of relevant experience preferred.

The pay range for this position for an LPN is $27.27 to $32.07 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
