Senior Lifestyle Corporation is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Memory Care in Tampa, FL. This full-time role covers 7p–7a with alternating weekends, emphasizing medication administration, patient assessments, and care planning within a compassionate team.

The ideal candidate has an active LPN license, CPR certification, at least 1 year in senior care, and strong English communication to coordinate with physicians, residents, and families. Comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse license current in the state of practice; CPR certification required.
• 1+ years of experience in a senior care or related field.
• Good English communication skills for supervision, staff, and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications following Federal & State regulations and facility guidelines.
• Assist with admissions including assessments and documentation.
• Develop and document acute and long-term care/service plans.
• Track clinical indicators (wounds, infection control) as directed.
• Provide health-related consultation to residents and staff.
• Notify physicians or family of health changes with proper documentation.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and coordinate with team.
• Maintain communication with all departments and staff.
• Conduct educational meetings for residents and staff.
• Follow Safety & Disaster Plan and protect resident confidentiality.
• May handle discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as needed.

Job Description

• Responsible for medication administration for the residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.


• May be responsible for the admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation.


• Responsible for completing acute and long-term care plans or service plans.


• May be responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e. wounds or infection control) under the direction of the director.


• Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.


• Notify physicians and/or family members of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation.


• Respond quickly to all emergencies.


• Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.


• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.


• Understand roll in the Safety & Disaster Plan.


• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.


• May be responsible for discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as needed.

Qualifications

Level of Formal Education: Training from an accredited licenses or vocational nursing program
Area of Study: General nursing
Years of Experience: 1+ years
Type of Experience: Senior care or related field
Special Certifications: Must have a Licensed Practical Nurse’s License current in the state in which they are practicing. Also, needs to be CPR Certified
Language Skills: Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.
Technical Competencies: Basic computer skills
