The Palms at Venice is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our new All Male Memory Care Unit. We offer full-time 7a-7p shifts and part-time options, with benefits including family health insurance.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered LPN license to practice in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to residents in a skilled nursing/rehabilitation setting.
• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans and monitor patients.
• Supervise CNAs and participate in their evaluation as needed.
• Oversee Falls and Pressure Sore Programs and document patient status.

Major Responsibilities -Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) care giver provides direct patient care to the residents and patients of the health and rehabilitation center (skilled nursing home), assisting them in activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of a professional nurse. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for each assigned resident.
• Supervise CNAs and participate in their evaluation.
• Oversee Falls Program and Pressure Sore Program.
• Provide nursing services.
• Conduct and document a thorough evaluation of each resident's medical status upon admission and throughout the resident's course of treatment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications -Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active state license to practice as an LPN.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing/Rehabilitation facilities preferred.
