Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Med Surg unit in Lewiston, Maine. The role covers bedside care, patient monitoring, and collaboration with RNs and doctors to support efficient patient throughput.

Shifts available: Nights. Assignment length: 12 weeks. Compensation ranges up to $40–$50 per hour, weekly pay, with opportunities for ongoing assignments at partner facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license required.
• IV and Blood Withdrawal certifications required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year Med Surg LPN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care in Med Surg.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status.
• Assist with medications, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Support care plans and patient throughput.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and care teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.


• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification required


• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.


• One (1) year of LPN Med Surg experience required.
