Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina or compact state LPN license required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision; must work well in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Providers with preparation and information documentation for the patient's visit including vitals and medical history.
  • Prepare exam rooms for patients.
  • Assist Providers with procedures as directed by the Provider.
  • Assist with collection of lab samples.
  • Give injections, administer meds, and provide wound care as ordered by Provider.
  • Document all care and education in medical records.

Job Type: Full Time | Day

$7,500 Sign-On Bonus with a 2-year commitment for eligible candidates
Schedule: 3x12s, day shift (7a-7p). Holidays and weekends required.

More About Our Team

Join our team in a 14-bed Medical Surgical Unit where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. With a 6:1 ratio, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient's needs, administering treatments and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care. This unit utilizes a self-scheduling application.

How You'll Contribute
  • Assists Providers with preparation and information documentation for the patient's visit including obtaining vitals, medical history and other pertinent information from the patient.

What we're looking for
  • Licenses: Active North Carolina or compact state LPN license required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
