Job summary

PAM Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide nursing care under the direction of an RN. Responsibilities include data gathering, reporting, and executing orders with therapeutic procedures for patients of various ages.

Current licensure as an LPN/LVN in the state of residence is required, with BLS certification. AHA approval within 90 days is expected. One year of inpatient med-surg experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
• BLS certification (AHA approved within 90 days) is required or pursued on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care as directed by an RN on the unit.
• Gather and report patient data and carry out orders.
• Perform therapeutic procedures in an age- and population-appropriate manner.

Responsibilities

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) is responsible for providing appropriate nursing care, as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. Functions include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner, consistent with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification required. BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.

• Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
