Job summary

PAM Health is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) for night shift coverage in its hospital setting. The role involves providing nursing care under the direction of an RN, with emphasis on data collection, patient care, and adherence to unit policies.

Education requirements include current LPN/LVN licensure in the state (or compact licensure) and BLS certification. Prior inpatient medical-surgical experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification required. BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Carries out orders and performs therapeutic procedures on patients in an age-appropriate manner, per PAM Health policies.

Responsibilities

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) is responsible for providing appropriate nursing care, as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. Functions include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner, consistent with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

To fill this role, you'll need

Education and Training: Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification required. BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.

• Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
