Job summary

PAM Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) to join our Nokomis, Florida team. The LVN/LPN provides nursing care under an RN's direction, performing data gathering, execution of orders, and therapeutic procedures in line with PAM Health policies.

Current LPN/LVN licensure and BLS are required; IV certification within 90 days may be needed based on state rules. Experience in inpatient medical-surgical care is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must hold current LPN/LVN licensure in the state.
• Current BLS certification required; AHA approved within 90 days.
• One year inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care as directed by an RN on the unit.
• Gather data, carry out orders, and perform therapeutic procedures per PAM Health policies.

Responsibilities

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) is responsible for providing appropriate nursing care, as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. Functions include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner, consistent with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification required. BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.

• Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
