Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide direct patient care under supervision in Alabama. The role reports to the Director or Manager of Department and adheres to applicable scope and standards of practice.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited LPN program with a current LPN license in the state, BCLS certification, and a preference for Handle with Care. Occupational exposure to bodily fluids is possible in this setting.

Essential Functions Additional Information

• Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
• Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
• Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.
• Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education: Graduate of accredited LPN program.

License/Certifications: Current LPN license in state of practice; BCLS required; Handle with Care preferred.
